The Huish Episcopi Community Speed Watch team have been operating throughout Huish Episcopi village since February 2019 until suspended in March 2020 due to social distancing. We re-commence on Monday 13th July 2020.
We have seen a reduction of speeding motorists from 3.5% to 1.8% when we are conducting watches during that time, which we feel is a significant and worthwhile result.
Motorists who speed through residential neighbourhoods are very often unaware of the impact their actions have on local residents, or the danger they pose to other road users and pedestrians, this is something we are determined to address.
We want motorists to know that Huish Episcopi is an area where Community Speed Watch operates and speeding through our village is something we are determined to reduce.
An invitation to come and join us, It isn't a huge commitment (One hour watches) and the more of us the better! We are a very friendly team and really enjoy each other's company. So take a look at:
Then if you would like to join us, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
